About Venues for 75 Guests

Seventy-five guests is one of the most dynamic group sizes in NYC event planning. It is large enough to fill a room with genuine energy and buzz, yet intimate enough that every person actually connects with the vibe you have created. This collection brings together venues across Manhattan and Brooklyn that hit that sweet spot, from the 45-foot marble bar and botanical Garden of Eden atmosphere at Little More in Tribeca to the Greek oasis of cherry blossom installations and koi ponds at Skinos in the Financial District. These are spaces designed with flow in mind, where guests move naturally between sections, settle into conversation, and find their own corner of the night without the event ever feeling scattered or thin. Whether you are planning a corporate reception, a milestone birthday, or a holiday party in 2026, this range of venues has the right configuration for your crew. Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg brings exposed brick, vintage chandeliers, and a 20-inch disco ball to the table, with a dedicated Velvet Room that holds up to 60 guests alongside a main bar area for overflow. Lot 15 inside the Kixby Hotel in Midtown offers a private Classic Room for up to 80 guests in a dark, art-accented cocktail lounge setting, while Nebula on West 41st Street between Times Square and Bryant Park delivers a fully immersive 10,000 square foot space with 1,700 LED screen panels for groups that want something truly unforgettable. At 75 guests, you have the leverage to negotiate meaningful sections and semi-private arrangements across all of these venues, making your event feel curated rather than crowded.

Expert Tip

For a group of 75, always ask venues about their semi-private section combinations rather than defaulting to a full buyout. At Little More in Tribeca, for example, pairing the Entire Back Area Upstairs at 65 guests with adjacent space gives your group a more exclusive feel without the cost of taking over the entire venue, and with a minimum spend starting at just $500, it remains one of the most accessible upscale options in lower Manhattan.

Venue Selection Guide

Your 2026 Planning Guide: Booking a Venue for 75 Guests in NYC

Choosing the Right Space for Your Group

Seventy-five guests is a sweet spot that unlocks some of NYC's most dynamic venues without overwhelming them. The key is finding a space where your group fills the room with energy rather than rattling around in it. At Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg, the Full Venue holds 110 guests, meaning 75 will fill it beautifully while still giving guests room to move between the two bar areas and the dance floor. If you want something more defined, the Lot 15 Classic Room in Midtown fits exactly 80 guests privately inside the Kixby Hotel, keeping the group together in one intimate setting. For a multi-room experience, La Victoria in Chelsea offers a second floor for up to 80 guests, giving your party its own distinct space within a larger two-floor venue.

Budgeting Smart: Minimum Spends and What to Expect

Minimum spends across this collection range dramatically, so setting your budget early will help narrow your options fast. On the accessible end, Bardough on Restaurant Row in Hell's Kitchen has a minimum spend of just $84 for its full venue buyout of 75 guests, making it one of the most affordable full-buyout options in the city. In the middle range, Hudson Yards Hotel's Atrium and Sun Deck sits at $750 for up to 75 guests, while venues like Skinos in FiDi and Célon at Bryant Park start at $900 and $1,000 respectively. At the higher end, The Ten Bells on the Lower East Side carries a $3,500 minimum, and Jupiter Disco in Bushwick requires $2,000, so make sure your group's bar spend will naturally meet those thresholds before committing.

Timing Your Event and Booking Window

For a group of 75 in 2026, booking at least six to eight weeks in advance is strongly recommended, especially for venues with a single private section that fits your count. Venues like Hudson Yards Hotel's Atrium, which has exactly one section capped at 75 guests, will book up quickly for weekend evenings and holiday season dates. If you have flexibility on day of the week, a Thursday event at a spot like Célon Bar and Lounge or Everything's Jake near Union Square can feel just as lively as a Saturday while being easier to lock in. Keep in mind that venues in high-foot-traffic neighborhoods like Midtown and the Theater District, such as Nebula and BarDough, often have multiple events running simultaneously, so confirming your dedicated space and setup time is essential.

Questions to Ask Every Venue Before You Sign

Always confirm whether the private section listed is fully exclusive or whether other guests may still occupy adjacent areas during your event. At Little More in Tribeca, for example, different sections of the upstairs can be booked independently, so clarifying exactly which areas are yours will shape the feel of your party. Ask whether the minimum spend includes tax and gratuity or covers only food and beverage, as this can significantly change your real budget. If music and dancing are important, confirm that the venue's AV setup is included in your booking rather than an additional rental fee, as is the case with Velvet Brooklyn's Pioneer DDJ-SZ2 controller and disco ball setup. Finally, ask about load-in and setup access time, especially at tech-forward venues like Nebula, where customizing the LED panels for your event branding will require coordination in advance.

Neighborhood Guide: Matching Your Crowd to the Right Part of the City

Your guests' locations and the vibe you want should drive your neighborhood choice. If your crowd skews downtown and creative, Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg, Jupiter Disco in Bushwick, or Kind Regards on the Bowery offer distinct energy with serious cocktail programs and room for dancing. For a corporate or client-facing event, FiDi venues like Skinos on Washington Street or Complete Playground on Broad Street are walking distance from major financial firms and easy to reach via multiple subway lines. If you want a central, everyone-can-get-there location, Everything's Jake near Union Square and Célon at Bryant Park are both steps from some of the most connected subway hubs in the city. Brooklyn-based guests should note that Third Falcon in Fort Greene and Velvet Brooklyn in Williamsburg both have solid G, L, J, M, and Z train access, making them genuinely easy to reach from across the boroughs.

Insider Picks: Venues That Punch Above Their Weight for This Group Size

For a group of 75, a few venues stand out as particularly well-suited in ways that go beyond just hitting the capacity number. Silence Please on the Bowery is an unexpected gem if your crowd appreciates music and atmosphere over a typical bar night, with a high-fidelity sound system and a 100-person full venue buyout that will feel electric at 75. BarChef New York in Midtown offers a full venue buyout for up to 125 guests with views of the Empire State Building and a modernist cocktail program that will genuinely impress even the most cocktail-savvy New Yorkers. Members Only West Village in the West Village has a full venue capacity of 110 with a low $100 minimum spend, making it a flexible and stylish option for groups who want a downtown cool aesthetic without a punishing financial commitment. Finally, The Rose in Chelsea is worth considering for a cocktail-forward celebration, with a full venue capacity of 150 meaning your 75 guests will feel like an exclusive gathering inside its signature hot pink neon bar setting.

Beautiful venue with some of the best cocktails I ever tried. I went to two events at this venue when it just opened in November and I will be back

Jupiter Disco is one of my favorites dance spaces in New York!! It’s my go to spot in bushwick. Along with a steady dose of incredible DJs, the intimate atmosphere makes in feel extremely personal, which I love. The new lighting system is incredible !! and they also serve some of the best cocktails around (my favorites are the Dead Ringer and A.M. Radio). Another awesome part of Jupiter Disco are their community-oriented, which featuring things like movie screenings and even a chess night. Check this place out when you can. Highly recommended, love!!
