Lamia's Fish Market is a 7,000-square-foot, multi-level Mediterranean seafood restaurant at 47 Avenue B, on the border of the East Village and Lower East Side. Built in the former Le Souk space, the venue was designed by owner Lamia Funti and designer Dara Young around a striking nautical concept: a 30-foot skylight over the raw bar atrium, an octopus-shaped banquette, a suspended coral reef installation, moss walls, and hand-painted murals and light fixtures from artists including Michela Martello, Bryan Farrell, and Will Kurtz. For event planners, the draw is the range of seven distinct dining experiences under one roof. Small groups can gather at the 12-seat Raw Bar under the skylight, mid-sized parties fit in semi-private rooms like The Cove, The Deck, The Lounge, or the lower-level Grotto with its open kitchen and original stone walls, and The On Board offers a truly private captain's-quarters dining room for up to 30 guests. A full buyout accommodates up to 300 standing or 200 seated. The menu is elevated Mediterranean with a strong seafood focus—fresh-shucked oysters and ceviche at the raw bar, whole fish, and squid ink pasta—paired with a beverage program of locally brewed craft beer, natural wines, and hand-crafted cocktails. The sprawling multi-level layout includes a front lounge and bar (The Lounge), the front dining room (The Cove), a bright raw bar atrium under a 30-foot skylight, the elevated mezzanine Deck overlooking the raw bar, a secluded private dining room (The On Board), and an expansive lower-level Grotto with an open kitchen and original stone walls.
Private Events
Sections can be rented individually or combined. The On Board is the truly private option, designed like a ship captain's quarters for up to 30 guests. The Cove, Deck, Lounge, Grotto, and Raw Bar operate as semi-private sections, and a full venue buyout supports up to 300 standing guests across the multi-level space.

Elevated Mediterranean cuisine with a strong emphasis on fresh seafood, including fresh-shucked oysters and ceviche at the raw bar, whole fish, and squid ink pasta.
